ORGANIC SHAPES AND LOTS OF COLOUR IN THE PAVILION OF OWN HOUSE & INTERIOR
A house with four multifunctional spaces where color plays the leading role. That was the basis of the Eigen Huis & Interieur Pavilion during the vt living & design fair . Light and geometric on the outside and colorful and organic on the inside. These are the LAB COLORS that concept and styling agency Kamer 465 used in the inspiring design.
With the working title 'Your World at Home', the stylists behind Kamer 465, Anya van de Wetering and Marie-Claire Lambalk, came up with a house in which living, working, living and playing flow smoothly into one another. The relaxed atmosphere that results from this is reflected, among other things, in the extensive use of color in the house. From walls that are painted in different color areas or provided with a striking wallpaper to art and tiles full of color shades. The combination options of all LAB COLORS are clearly visible throughout the house.
The concept behind the house stems from the idea that people, especially in these times when the world outside is sometimes elusive, need a safe, pleasant environment inside. 'In a troubled world, people yearn for their own place. Not too sterile and distant, but positive, intimate, earthy and colorful', say the ladies behind Room 465.
The styling agency very consciously opted for an exciting contrast in shape and color. The exterior was painted with LAB Chalk (lime paint) and LAB Cementum (concrete look) in the new shade White Truffle no. 644 ; the slightly lighter sister of the popular Mushroom no. 287 that gives a nice, natural atmosphere. The color fits perfectly with the serene look of the garden. You can really relax here.
The neutral kitchen of the Italian kitchen manufacturer Meson's is brought to life by colorful accessories and color areas on the side walls. The new shade Zen Garden no. 680 has been used on the back wall. This blend of ecru, faded black and reseda green creates a natural balance and looks great in a botanical interior. The color continues to the left wall, where it is combined with Sugar Kiss no. 733 , Soft Black no. 282 , Saint-Tropez no. 460 and Terracotta Warrior no. 42 . On the opposite wall you see a combination of Saint-Tropez no. 460 , Terracotta Warrior no. 42 and Marie no. 140 .
Organic shapes are once again reflected in the living room. Both in the color areas on the wall and in the furniture. The space invites you to relax completely, which is enhanced by round shapes and soft materials. This breaks up hard, straight lines. On the left wall you see a combination of Zen Garden no. 680 , Copperhead no. 29 , Saint-Tropez no. 460 , Rusty Rebel no. 129 , Soft Black no. 282 and Marie no. 140 . The artwork on the right wall flows seamlessly through the background in Ginger no. 260 into the wall painted in the same shade.
The artwork on the wall in the living room is by Moos Willemsen . For this she used the shades Soft Black no. 282 , Rusty Rebel no. 129 , Ginger no. 260 , Marie no. 140 and Jackie Blue no. 14 . The clean lines in combination with the round shapes make the painting a real eye-catcher.
The atmosphere of the rest of the house is also continued in the bedroom. Behind the bed you can see the color areas in Teddy no. 518 , Marie no. 140 , Nordic Lake no. 747 and Copperhead no. 29 . On the right wall , Nordic Lake no. 747 continues a little further and this cool blue hue is connected via Rusty Rebel no. 129 with Sugar Kiss no. 733 , Saint-Tropez no. 460 and Marie no. 140 . The left wall is painted in a combination of Soft Black no. 282 , Rusty Rebel no. 129 , Saint-Tropez no. 460 , Copperhead no. 29 , Teddy no. 518 and Nordic Lake no. 747 . To make it even more complete, bed linen in matching shades and natural materials has been chosen. The room divider behind the bed is a 3D printed wall panel from the Amsterdam company Aectual .
The house of vtwonen stylist Liza Wassenaar has also been painted in new colors from the LAB COLOR COLLECTION. Curious? Take a look at her Travel Loft .
