HOW TO MAKE A MURAL FOR THE CHILDREN'S ROOM
Lotte van Oh la Lot gave the rooms of her children Vic and Sam a special look by making murals. She chose different colors that look great together. Curious how she handled it? Check out the step-by-step plan here.

How to make a mural for the nursery:
- Tape off the wall next to the wall you are going to paint and don't forget the ceiling and skirting boards. Press the tape firmly.
- Use a tarpaulin to protect the floor from splashes.
- Think about what you want to paint and think about where you want the mural to run before you really get started. Put a dot on that spot if necessary. Do you think it's exciting? Then you can also draw the lines in advance with a pencil.
- Paint a line on the wall with a brush and try to make a wavy movement instead of a straight line. This gives a playful effect.
- Draw a line with your brush along the tape (on the wall you don't want to paint).
- Then color the surface with a wall paint roller.
- Trace the outside lines of the plane. You can still update them here and there if needed.
- Before applying the second coat, wait until the first coat is completely dry. The paint can tells you how long you have to wait before the paint can be painted over. LAB ECO Wallpaint, for example, can be painted over after three hours.
- Done painting? Remove the painter's tape. Do not wait too long with this and preferably do this before the paint has completely dried.
Enjoy the result!
