Vestingh in renovation: 'Our paint contributes to a more beautiful world'
Founder Robert is featured in the latest edition of vtverteelt with the theme of sustainability. It is an inspiring magazine about sustainable renovation and LAB PAINT should of course not be missing in this story. "We make every effort to limit CO 2 emissions. Our ecological paint, for example, is produced in the Netherlands and sold directly in our concept store in Bussum or via our online shop. This is a lot more environmentally friendly than if you produce it abroad and the cans of paint eventually reach the end user via depots and wholesalers. We look at the totality, from production to the final phase, so that also includes transport. But there is more: LAB ECO Wallpaint , for example, can be cleaned, which means that the paint lasts much longer. We also take a closer look at our waste processing. Sometimes paint remains if the color is mixed incorrectly or if a can is damaged. We mix this paint into beautiful, new colors and sell it at a significant discount under the name LAB Second Life . In this way we try to reduce our paint waste to almost zero," says Robert on page 47 of vtverteelt.
When asked what Robert is most proud of, he answers: "The fact that Vestingh is doing well and we sell a lot of paint is of course very nice, but we also want to take our responsibility as a company. [...] Our LAB PAINT FOUNDATION has aims to make drinking water available to those who have no or difficult access to it. Together with local partners, we realize water installations where they are most needed. In this way you contribute to a more beautiful world, just by painting a can of paint to buy." Of course, this story is supported by several beautiful photos of our paints in beautiful projects.
Further on in vtverteelt we see a nice example of LAB ECO Chalk in the color Velvet Fudge no. 380 and the editors show that our colors Mushroom no. 287 , Mud Soldier no. 46, Dark Taupe no. 196 , Mrs. Wool no. 108 , Coffee Addict no. 214 and Sensational Sand no. 290 combine beautifully with a coconut shell mosaic tile and recycled concrete tiles.
