HOW TO CREATE THE OMBRE EFFECT ON YOUR WALL
Do you want to give your wall a special look? With the ombre effect, different colors blend into each other. With this step-by-step plan you can create a unique wall in multiple shades.
Jenneke from @ beautiful88 made this cool effect on the wall with LAB COLORS Straw no. 209 and Rusty Rebel no. 129 . Want to get started with the ombre effect yourself? View Jenneke's step-by-step plan below.
You can of course also apply this effect to furniture. For example on cupboards, tables, chairs or a bench.
The step-by-step plan
- Paint the wall in horizontal strokes with the colors you want to use. Jenneke herself chose two colors in the same shade. But of course you can also opt for multiple shades or more colors in the same shade.
- Let the paint dry thoroughly.
- Put an extra layer above the bottom color with the top color and go through the paint with a dry (block) brush from top to bottom. Clean the brush regularly.
- Make it more even with a damp sponge.
- Not satisfied yet? Then repeat steps three and four with a little paint.
