COPY PASTE: THESE ARE THE COLORS FROM THE HOUSE OF ROMÉ REINDERS
'I took my mother to the colour advice at LAB,' says Romé. 'We both have strong opinions, but Karin, who advised us, understood our style. To find the right shades, I brought samples of everything. I took a tuft of wool from the rose carpet in Belle Rose's room, I had a sample of the kitchen fronts, I even cut a piece from the back of my bed. That allowed us to choose the perfect matching colours. For the living room and kitchen, that became White Truffle no. 644 and Coffee Addict no. 214 – what's in a name?'
CEILING IN COLOR
'The colour in our bedroom is Golden Leaf no. 752 , natural and stylish. We had the ceilings and skirting boards painted, just like in the rest of the house. I already knew that I wanted that, because I think it's beautiful and it looks extra calm and comfortable. At LAB they also advised that straight away. That's how I knew straight away that they are completely up to date. What I also found special is that I simply found the colours I was looking for in their regular range. They simply had exactly the right shades in their fans! It's actually quite funny that the painter asked if we really didn't want the ceilings white. When the painting was finished, he changed his mind, and he thought it was really successful after all.'

CONNECTING HUE
White Truffle no. 644 is the connecting colour in the house, which was chosen for the entrance, the skirting boards, the doors and the entire staircase including the railings. It is a light beige with a brown-grey undertone. Light and yet warm.
PINK CLOUD
Belle Rose's room is one big pink cloud, thanks to the colour By Juliet no. 152. 'Here we only left the wooden beams untreated. The whalebone floor is not real wood, by the way, but PVC. Nowadays you have that in a quality that is indistinguishable from the real thing. So we have the look and feel of wood with the convenience of PVC.'
AND THE COLOR IS... ROME
'I wouldn't change a thing about this house, I'm so happy with everything. That's certainly also because we worked with really cool, personal companies. Except for LAB for the paint, DJP Services for the steelwork, and Roos Gordijnen Service, a family business from Purmerend, for the window coverings. They made everything to measure. The color linen that I chose matches all the shades of the house. At Roos, they will soon even be selling the fabric under the name Romé, they were so enthusiastic about the result here at my place. Isn't that great!'
