The bedroom, a space where you close your eyes about 90% of the time… But despite that, I think it's a space that should definitely not be forgotten in terms of styling. Our bedroom matches the style in the rest of our house. A combination of black, white, wood and some plants. Yes, also green in the bedroom. I think that really adds something.

On our top floor is a dark brown laminate floor, which was already there from the previous residents. However, with painting, etc., the floor has not become more beautiful over time. In addition, it was absolutely not our taste, so I went looking for a solution. Laying a new floor was of course a good option, but painting was also an option. I came out Vestingh Paint and Craft. A paint and lifestyle label based in Bussum, they have many options in the field of paint. My eye fell on the Vestingh Laminate Coating, choose any color you want. This seemed like a good solution for our dark laminate floor.

I ordered the paint including supplies (laminate cleaner, coating and accessories) and together with my partner I provided the floor on the top floor with a different color during our holiday. We found it very exciting in the beginning, because yes, painting a laminate floor, we had no experience with that. However, it was a very nice paint and an instruction was included that described step by step how it works. In the end we thought it was super simple and all rooms were done like this. I chose the color Ash Gray No. 188 . This appeared white when the paint was applied, but eventually turned grayer as it dried. In the end it turned out to be the perfect light gray color I was looking for.

Since everything was already completely overhauled on our top floor, I immediately tackled the wall behind our bed with a new layer of paint. Here too I started working with the paint from Vestingh Paint and Craft. I replaced the gray color behind our bed with the color Pale Gray No. 93 and the black part remained as it was, this is the color Pure Black no. 50. In addition, I chose to make a vertical line between the 2 surfaces with the color Loft no. 113 . I really enjoy playing with different types of painting, such as planes or lines.

After everything was in place it was finally exactly as I had in mind, the light floor creates a much more spacious effect and it looks much lighter. I am extremely happy with how it turned out. The laminate coating may sound scary to many, but I would definitely recommend it if you want to give your laminate floor a different look.
