The warm colours in Elise and Wouter's house are reminiscent of a sunset blended with desert hues. As a counterpoint, they chose shades of green and blue that seem to come straight from the Moroccan Souk. The house feels like a relaxed home through warm places. CUSTOMIZE YOUR KITCHEN
Elise and Wouter's kitchen is an Ikea model, although you wouldn't believe it when you see it. The cabinet doors are the colour Little Greene Harley Green and have the sheet made to measure, a unique design is created. Thanks to the combination with Softened Green no. 271 with a slightly different shade of blue in the tiles, a fresh tone-on-tone palette is created. An original 'Boers en Peelen'.

FRAMED
By painting skirting boards and frames in one colour and choosing a contrasting colour for the door, it feels like the doors are framed in Elise and Wouter's home. This effect is reflected throughout the entire home. The fresh green Softened Green no. 271 The skirting boards downstairs are repeated in the twins' room in the attic, but there combined with Silence no. 107 and Stunning View no. 32. This immediately creates unity in the house.

In almost every room a color is used that you have seen before. That ensures that you can use many colors, without it becoming too much . For example, Masala Chai no. 31 on the walls of the dining room and living room is again in the bedroom on the upper floor.

MAKING STATEMENTS
Stairs often require a practical approach, but the hallway is a place to show off in the house. By giving the stairs, door and cupboard the burgundy colour Lipstick Lover no. 908 , the hallway gets body . The perfect counterpart to the softer pink and striped wallpaper.

Not a fan of a range of colours in one room, but still looking for depth in a space? Wouter is a fervent supporter of the ton-sur-ton approach. By using all kinds of shades in one colour family, depth is created in a room. Like in Coco's room with Pink Peach no. 24 on the walls and ceiling, the slightly darker By Juliet no. 152 on the door frame and skirting boards and Sugar Kiss no. 733 on the door and window frame. This is the perfect solution if you don't want to go overboard, but do like a bit of excitement in colours.

CATCHING SKIRTING BOARDS AND CEILINGS
In the bedroom, Wouter and Elise painted the ceiling beams in the same subtle, youthful shade as the skirting boards: Orange Barista no. 117. It gives the room an extra cozy look, because it feels like the space is enclosing you. By choosing the warm and full, yet light Masala Chai no. 31 from the living room on the walls, the bedroom also gets a soft look. The Arte Manilla Atlas wallpaper in Soft Beige completes the color palette.

'We feel at home here,' is the couple's conclusion. 'Even though we are here only a few times. ' The house contains all the lovely colours of the places we like to be. 'It is warm, sunny, lively here: just like Ibiza.'
