Farrow & Ball Down Pipe No. 26, a dark lead grey, has distinct blue undertones which deepen the complexity of the finish. Originally inspired by the colour used to paint downpipes and gutters, it has been embraced for interior use with fanatical fervour! This bold dark shade is fantastic as a backdrop for art and exceptionally effective for use in hallways to create a deeply dramatic entrance to the home. Using a 100ml sample pot is an easy way to test colours in the room you are painting. Instead of applying directly to the wall, we recommend applying two coats of each of your sample pots to sheets of paper or card (the larger the better) and allowing to dry. Stick your painted sheets up in the room you are painting. Move them around the room to see how the colour changes throughout the day and in different light conditions. The sample pot contains Estate Emulsion, a high- quality, ultra-matt chalk paint for interior ceilings and walls (ultra-matt: 2% sheen).
