How do you calculate the required amount? Measure the length and width of the surface you are going to treat. Multiply this together and then divide by the consumption per litre. Now you know how many liters you need for 1 layer. For example: with a surface of 5 mx 2 m (10 m² : 15 m² = 0.7 litre) you need 0.7 liter LAB Houtprimer Buiten for 1 layer (calculated with a consumption of 15 m²). We always recommend applying two coats to untreated wood.
Proper pre-treatment prevents most problems. The surface to be treated must always be load-bearing, dry and free of dust and grease. Read the product advice for more information about the correct pre-treatment. Always assess coverage. Before you start painting with LAB Buitenlak, your work must already have good coverage in the LAB Houtprimer Buiten. If necessary, apply 2 coats of this primer.
