DESCRIPTION
LAB Houtcoating is suitable for various applications, such as wooden floors and furniture. LAB Houtcoating is a very strong finish for wooden surfaces and provides optimum protection.
LAB Houtcoating is transparent and consists of two components. This makes the product extremely strong, wear and scratch resistant and moisture resistant. The wood coating is water-based, does not discolour and dries quickly (approximately 3 hours) after application to the wood.
- Completely scrub, abrasion and scratch resistant
- Available in matte, satin and gloss
- Transparent
- Does not yellow
- 2 Components
- On waterbase
- Always in stock
- Includes free mixing cup
Consumption:
10 to 12 m²/per litre
How do you calculate the necessary amount of coating?
Measure the length and width of the part you will be coating, multiply them together and then divide by 10-12. Now you have calculated the number of liters you need for 1 layer of coating!
For example: with a wooden surface of 5 mx 2 m (10 m² : 11 m² = 0.9 litre) you need 0.9 liter Wood Coating for 1 layer (calculated with a consumption of 11 m² per litre). We always recommend applying two coats.
For wooden floors that are used the most, such as in the living room and kitchen, we recommend 3 layers of coating or 1 layer of stain and 2 layers of coating. For other rooms and/or furniture, the advice for optimal protection is 2 layers of coating or 1 layer of stain and 1 layer of coating.
Preparation for coating wood
Wood needs attention and care to keep it beautiful. Our advice is to thoroughly degrease the wood with LAB Paint Cleaner . Then sand it down until you see healthy looking and bare wood. Then you can start with the transparent coating of the wood!
TIP! Choose the matt variant (most sold) of the LAB Wood Coating if you want an "untreated wood look" but want optimal protection!
Is the wood not quite the right color? You can always stain it with Vestingh Wood Stain . This stain is available in all colours.
NB! This coating is transparent! If you want to stain or varnish the wood in a different colour, you can do so before coating.
TIP! See the photo of the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets are stained with Vestingh Floor Stain in the color Pure Black and then coated with LAB Houtcoating for optimal protection.
