This warm and timeless blue is named after the indigo pigment, which was often imported in lumps during the 18th century. The vibrant, saturated colour of Farrow & Ball Stone Blue No. 86 can be used alongside warmer shades such as Farrow & Ball Pelt No. 254 to create an inviting vintage look, or the cooler Farrow & Ball Mole's Breath No. 276 for a cleaner, more modern feel. However, unlike the woodwork of Farrow & Ball Dimpse No. 277, it feels both distinguished and familiar. Use with Farrow & Ball Undercoat in Mid Tones .
