This versatile and understated tone is named after the unbleached wood used in the handle of a match. With the small addition of black, this neutral wood color creates wonderfully understated rooms that are warm without feeling creamy. In well-lit rooms it has a fresher quality, especially in contrast to Farrow & Ball White Tie no. 2002 or other yellow-based neutrals, while it feels more relaxed and traditional in a darker north-facing room.
