This soft black is one of the original Farrow & Ball colours, an uncomplicated name for a much-loved classic. Farrow & Ball Off Black No. 57 is much more flattering to adjacent colors than the stronger blacks because it feels so much mellower in tone and less of the underlying cool blue that Farrow & Ball Railings No. 31 or Farrow & Ball Black Blue No. 95 has. Use Farrow & Ball primer in Dark Tones .
